I know a fix! Right click on the Sims 2 and click properties. Then go to the compatibility tab and check the box named ‘compatibility mode’ then set the drop down menu under it to Windows XP (service pack 3).

@ashleyrain1128 Once Windows 10 is released it will be fully supported. You might need to use Compatibility Mode, but other than that it should work.

There are still issues with Origin on Windows 8. Try right click on the installer, select properties, compatibility tab and use Run This Program in Compatibility Mode in Windows 7 compatibility. If that fails, download it again as your download may be corrupted.
