It is a very old version, so it is not compatible with Windows 10.

Sure. You just cannot open photoshop the normal way: they have intentionally prevented that. Instead use your disc, install elements 9, then choose your photo to edit and right click on it. Choose “open with” elements 9!

Is Adobe Photoshop 7 still good?
Photoshop is a great program, even years ago when PS 7.0 came out it was a great program. I still have Photoshop 4.0 on an XP machine, it works just fine … and I only had to pay for it once. And it supports some excellent plug-ins that won’t work on more recent versions of Photoshop. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.

Photoshop 7 works here on windows 10 x64 without using any compatibility modes, actually a lot better than photoshop cs2 does. The only major catch is you need to have 1 TB or less free space on your hard drive or photoshop 7 won’t work.
