So if the tablet is supported by the OS, it should work with Krita. On my side I have a XP-Pen Artist 13.3v2 and it works perfectly with Linux, but I had to made some specific configuration on the OS… Ok yeah.

Do NOT get an xp-pen. The only tablets worse are the ones made by Bosto, Trust or, especially, Genius. XP-Pen makes awful hardware coupled with horrible drivers. Their products are abominations unto Nuggan.

Try going to Select -> Select All and then Select -> Deselect. If it works, please update to Krita 4.3. 0, too, since the bug that requires you to do this is fixed in the new version.
